Abstract

In this interview with Monsignor Don Fischer discusses the effects that Vatican II had on the architecture and format of mass in the Catholic Church in the 1960's and 1970's. Fischer also goes in depth about the construction of the Chapel of the Incarnation (also known as the Church of the Incarnation) and how Vatican II helped inspire its simplistic design. He also discusses having Advent Mass in the gym and in Lynch Hall prior to the church's creation. Notable members of the University of Dallas community are also mentioned: Damian Fandal, Lyle Novinski, Duane Landry, Jane Landry, Heri Bartscht, and Juergen Strunck.
